Barstow is a worsted spun, fingering weight yarn made with Dorset wool grown in NY & spun in PA. Barstow is great for socks if you don't mind a gentle wash & air drying but it isn’t just for socks! Bartsow also makes gorgeous hard wearing garments. The 4 ply structure gives the yarn plenty of strength, especially when worked densely. The wool has not been superwashed which will allow lots of breathability. Barstow is named for Hudson River School painter & avid hiker Susie Barstow.

• Suggested Gauge: 6-8sts/in on US #1-3 (2.25-3.25mm) needles

Care: Hand wash in cool water & lay flat to dry for the longest wearing garment.
